SUMMARY:
A manufacturing and a supplier of wide variety of industrial products to the Southern African region is looking for a Financial Accountant.

Duties:

Responsible for the preparation and review of reconciliations.
Ensure internal controls are adequate and address all financial risks.
Produce effective reports for stakeholders.
Compile and evaluate new projects to maximise shareholder wealth.
Manage Accounts Payables department.
Responsible for the treasury function.
Responsible for the company’s tax function.
Responsible for Group and Company financial statements.
Support internal and external audits.
Support internal customers.
Perform ad hoc finance functions as required

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
BCom Accounting and CTA
CA(SA)

Experience:

Completed Articles at one of the BIG 4 – Non-Negotiable
1 year post articles experience in a similar role
Knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards and company tax
Knowledge of preparation of annual financial statements
Knowledge of preparation and submission of Tax returns

Skills & Competencies:

Excellent ability to problem solve along with solid analytical skills, understanding of business processes and systems optimization
Good communication skills including presentation skills
High level of accuracy, analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong team player
Proficient in MS Office Suite, JDE experience would be an advantage
Deadline driven and ability to work under pressure
