Financial Accountant CA(SA)

A manufacturing and a supplier of wide variety of industrial products to the Southern African region is looking for a Financial Accountant.

Duties:

• Responsible for the preparation and review of reconciliations.
• Ensure internal controls are adequate and address all financial risks.
• Produce effective reports for stakeholders.
• Compile and evaluate new projects to maximise shareholder wealth.
• Manage Accounts Payables department.
• Responsible for the treasury function.
• Responsible for the company’s tax function.
• Responsible for Group and Company financial statements.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Support internal customers.
• Perform ad hoc finance functions as required

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Accounting and CTA
• CA(SA)

• Completed Articles at one of the BIG 4 – Non-Negotiable
• 1 year post articles experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards and company tax
• Knowledge of preparation of annual financial statements
• Knowledge of preparation and submission of Tax returns

• Excellent ability to problem solve along with solid analytical skills, understanding of business processes and systems optimization
• Good communication skills including presentation skills
• High level of accuracy, analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong team player
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, JDE experience would be an advantage
• Deadline driven and ability to work under pressure
