JOB SUMMARY:
FMCG / Manufacturing concern based on the East Rand, has an opportunity for a Financial Accountant. Manage, oversee and expedite the company's compliance with the SOX Act as well as be responsible for the tax function within the company and prepare the statutory AFS. Manage the AP function and provide assistance in various financial accounting functions; prepare, analyze and report on monthly financial information and periodic forecasting and budgeting, and the accuracy of sales-based transactions.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Report directly to the Financial Manager. Position requires a completed B.Com (Accounting) / B.Compt, with 3-5 years Accounting / Cost Accounting experience within a FMCG / Manufacturing concern. KPI's include: costing; month-end preparation; inter-company payables; fixed assets; walkdown analysis; financial reporting; forecasting and budgetting; commercial support; statutory AFS preparation and audit liaison thereof and taxation for the company in terms of monthly VAT returns, quarterly Advalorem returns, provisional tax, STC etc. Working knowledge of Syspro and advanced Excel skills essential.
