Financial Accountant - Manufacturing Industry

SUMMARY:
An international Chemical Manufacturing Company requires the above to manage and handle the Company’s full accounting function.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• A BComm. Accounting or related degree or diploma is essential.
• Previous experience having worked in a Financial Accountant or related role is essential. 
• Previous experience having worked within a manufacturing or distribution company, dealing with exports and imports and all aspects of supply chain is preferred.
• Previous experience having worked on Pastel Evolution or SAP is preferred.
• Previous experience having worked with management accounts and forex as well as bookkeeping experience is preferred. 
• Stock reconciliations experience is essential.
• The successful candidate must ideally be familiar with a supply chain process.
• The successful candidate must be computer literate with intermediate Excel skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Performing the full accounting function up to trial balance on Pastel Partner.
• Capturing and processing inventory on Pastel and reconciling supplier invoices.
• Handling the full function for creditors and debtors, taking the accounts to trial balance.
• Handling stock management, inventory reconciliations and process journals (provisions and accruals).
• Performing stock provision monitoring and stock analysis on all purchased expenses.
• Presenting weekly and monthly finance reports to the Exco Team.
• Reviewing and consolidating bank statements across journal and ledger entries.
• Reviewing and preparing trial balance and income statements.
• Conducting VAT201 and EMP201 reconciliations and submissions on a monthly basis as well as provisional taxes.
• Performing and leading audits and preparations for both external and internal audits performed on a yearly basis.
• Raising customer invoices, generating supplier purchase orders and reconciling customer accounts on a monthly basis.
• Critically reviewing management accounts.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
