POSITION INFO:
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to oversee the full financial management process of our trading business. The role requires strong expertise in accounting within a trading environment, with responsibilities spanning financial reporting, tax compliance, and oversight of procurement and inventory. The successful candidate will work closely with both our local team in Johannesburg and our financial shared service center overseas.

Key Responsibilities:
· Manage the full accounting function of the company, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and reporting.
· Collaborate with the central financial team to ensure accurate and timely consolidation of financial records.
· Supervise and support the local procurement team to ensure effective management of inventory and trading activities.
· Handle all interactions with local tax authorities, ensuring compliance with South African tax regulations.
· Manage relationships with local banks, including foreign exchange and settlement processes for import and export transactions.
· Prepare and review financial reports in English and Chinese, ensuring accuracy and compliance with both local and international standards.
· Provide insights and recommendations to management to support strategic decision-making.

Core Requirements:
Industry & Role Experience:
· Proven experience in accounting within a trading company.
· Strong knowledge of import/export settlement, foreign exchange operations, and trading enterprise tax policies.

Language Skills:
· Fluent in both Chinese and English (written and spoken).
· Capable of independently preparing financial reports and conducting international financial communication.

Technical Skills & Competencies:
· Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to work effectively with international teams across different time zones.
