POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking for an exceptional Financial Accountant and Analyst with demonstrated analytical and operational ability to join our clients rapidly growing, fast paced scale-up organisation. The role requires someone who is hands-on, enjoys getting into the cogs of the financial operations and will provide value through insightful analysis and assisting with the financial operations. The ideal candidate will be versatile, a self-starter and keen to get involved where needed.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate is intended to become a highly trusted member of our clientâ€™s team. The role will support continued transparency of the businessâ€™ performance and financial outlook and support the core financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Actively support financial operations, including Customer Onboarding, payment and refunds processing, chargeback management, Xero bookkeeping, Reconciliation, Anti-fraud monitoring
Budgeting and forecasting
Financial performance review and analysis, including preparation of month end reporting Identify underlying trends and understand variances
Preparation of business plans, financial models to support decision making, target setting and forecasting
Dive deeply into financial data and become a subject matter expert to provide additional insights
Help drive forward the continued automation of finance processes, financial reporting, and reconciliation

Required Competencies:

Sound analytical skills - proven track record in building and maintaining financial models
Sound skills in report writing and in presenting financial information
Have a robust grasp of the business model and operations
Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organisation
Strong desire to add value and make a difference
Proven track record in building and maintaining financial models
Communication and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving skills
Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities
Knowledge and experience of tax concepts, such as international tax and transfer pricing is advantageous

Qualifications:

Bachelorâ€™s degree in Financial Management, Accounting, or any related finance orientated degree
CIMA or CA, would be advantageous
Min of 3 to 5 years of experience
Knowledge of accounting, financial and operational principles
Auditing background is advantageous
Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
Knowledge of tools such as Xero Accounting Software and PowerBI is
