JOB SUMMARY:
Manufacturing concern in Montague Gardens, is seeking a finance professional with at least 3 yearsâ experience in commerce and managing staff; to join their dynamic finance department. You will fulfill a 4.5 month maternity cover; however you will gain an immense amount of invaluable exposure during this time

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Oversee the Financial Accountant and National Creditors controller providing guidance and training as required on the job.

Manage monthly results closing process

Finalisation and closure of monthly results in accordance with timetable

Authorisation of all general journals pre-recording by team in the ledger

Review of balance sheet recons monthly excluding stock and credit control

Provide financial reports and interpret financial statements and reports while recommending further courses of action and maintaining the highest quality, reliability, and accuracy

Preparation of monthly GP analysis report

Analyse working capital monthly and provide commentary to the Head of Finance

Preparation of monthly results analysis of actual versus budget per department and in total with investigation on reasons for variances

Review of all monthly payroll reports in accordance with the checks specified by the Head of Finance

Review of all creditor’s reconciliations in accordance with the checks specified by the Head of Finance

Review of EMP201, EMP 501, VAT return and all other SARS related returns pre-submission to SARS and pre-submission to Head of Finance for approval of payments

Preparation of annual tax returns and completion of all other SARS related audit requests/enquiries for submission to Head of Finance pre submission to SARS

Monthly review of tax schedules and budget related schedules prepared by team

Ensure VAT compliance

Qualification:

Bookkeeping certificate or degree
