SUMMARY:

A wellâestablished organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Supervisor with strong expertise in foreign exchange, international transactions, and multinational reporting. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a detailâoriented finance professional to oversee key accounting functions in a dynamic, fastâpaced environment.

POSITION INFO:

Role Purpose

The Finance Supervisor will manage the full accounting function up to Trial Balance, oversee cash and banking activities, handle foreign currency accounting, intercompany transactions, and ensure accurate international reporting. The role also involves VAT submissions, statutory returns, and supporting the preparation of management accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury functions
Manage foreign exchange transactions, revaluations, and currency updates
Oversee international intercompany accounts, balances, and reconciliations
Ensure compliance with SARB requirements for crossâborder payments
Prepare inputs for international financial reporting (e.g., HFM or similar)
Maintain accurate general ledger reconciliations, journals, and monthly provisions
Analyze monthly expenses and review MTD/YTD trends
Maintain the fixed asset register and reconcile to the GL
Manage banking administration, electronic payments, petty cash (including forex), and credit card accounts
Process payroll journals and thirdâparty statutory payments
Prepare and submit VAT, EMP201, and assist with tax schedules and queries
Support internal and external audit processes
Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal policies

Qualifications

Matric + BCom Accounting (CA(SA) advantageous)
Minimum 3 years’ accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or a similar environment
Experience in multinational and multiâcurrency environments
Strong technical knowledge of forex accounting, intercompany transactions, VAT, and Tax
Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Syspro, Sage, or similar)
