POSITION INFO:
An established and fast-growing renewable energy business based in Cape Town is looking for a commercially minded Financial Analyst to join their high-performing finance team. This organisation is at the forefront of developing sustainable energy solutions, offering exposure to large-scale renewable projects and a collaborative environment where analytical thinking is highly valued. You'll be responsible for developing robust financial models, supporting investment decisions, and providing financial insight across a portfolio of renewable energy projects. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain and enhance detailed financial models for renewable energy projects. Perform project valuations, scenario analysis and investment feasibility assessments. Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning. Prepare investment committee packs and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Analyse project performance and provide commercial recommendations. Work closely with development, commercial and executive teams to support strategic decision-making. Job Experience and Skills Required: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field. CFA qualification or progress towards CFA will be highly advantageous. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Financial Analyst or Financial Modeller. Proven financial modelling experience is essential. Experience within renewable energy, infrastructure, project finance or investment environments will be advantageous. Strong analytical and commercial acumen. Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel financial modelling skills. Power BI and financial modelling software exposure will be advantageous. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
