POSITION INFO:
Are you a commercially savvy CA(SA) with the vision to lead and the skills to deliver? A global leader in medium-voltage switchgear manufacturing is looking for a Financial Controller to take the helm of their South African finance function, based in Gauteng.

This isn’t just another reporting role. You’ll be the most senior finance professional in the local business, partnering with the General Manager and reporting to the Group Finance Director, while influencing key decisions and driving performance in a fast-paced, technically complex environment.

The business is a powerhouse in secondary power distribution, operating at the intersection of innovation, engineering, and sustainability. They're looking for someone ready to own the numbers, lead a team, and shape strategy in an environment that values initiative and precision.

What You’ll Do:

Lead full-spectrum finance: Reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
Build financial controls and ensure full compliance and audit readiness
Manage tax, treasury, and banking relationships
Act as a strategic partner across operations and leadership
Drive system and process optimisation (Microsoft D365)
Mentor and grow a high-performing local finance team

What You Bring:

CA(SA) designation — essential
3–5 years post-articles experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong commercial insight and operational curiosity
Leadership, influence, and team development skills
A proactive mindset and hands-on approach to solving complex business challenges
