Are you a strategic thinker with a sharp financial mind and a deep understanding of the fleet and logistics sector? Our client, a respected and fast-growing player in the logistics and fleet management industry based in Johannesburg South, is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead their finance function with precision, insight, and operational flair. You’ll be instrumental in developing cost models, analysing fuel consumption, and ensuring profitability through robust financial control and reporting. Is this you? Apply now!

Duties:

Oversee all financial and accounting functions including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial analysis
Develop and manage cost-per-kilometer models and fuel consumption tracking tools
Partner with operational teams to optimize logistics costs and improve profitability
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements in accordance with compliance standards
Lead audits, ensure tax and statutory compliance, and manage risk across the business
Identify financial trends, advise on investment and cost-saving opportunities

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

Completed BCom degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (essential)

Experience:

Minimum 4+ years’ experience in a financial role within the fleet/logistics industry
Solid understanding of cost-per-kilometer principles and fuel consumption calculations
Proficient in financial software, reporting tools, and advanced Excel
