Financial Controller

SUMMARY:
Financial Controller - Mossel Bay, Western Cape 

Our client, a respected leader in the Hospitality Industry, is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join their dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of the financial operations, provide strategic insights, and contribute to the long-term success of the organization.

POSITION INFO:
Duties include but not limited to:

• Full function for AR/AP – Including age analysis, processing and management of Debtors Control
• Bank Reconciliations
• Cash Drop reconciliations and management
• Payroll preparation support
• Maintaining ledgers to the trial balance
• Filing and record-keeping
• Support Financial Manager
• Prepare financial reports
• Ensure compliance with all internal financial controls, rules and audit requirements

• Matric coupled with a degree and or national diploma in accounting
• 2-3 years' experience in accounting/bookkeeping - including clerical or internship work
• Computer skills - SAGE / Pastel MS Office (Excel)
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Previous experiences in the hospitality industry will be advantageous

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, debits/credits/trial balance
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to reconcile accounts and process invoices
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Strong communication - written and verbal
• Ability to work within a team environment
