POSITION INFO:
Our client is a well-established, multinational pharmaceutical business recognised for its operational excellence and innovation across Africa and beyond.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Financial Controller will oversee financial performance, cost control, and procurement management across multiple divisions. This role requires a hands-on professional who can balance strategic insight with rigorous financial discipline. You’ll play a key part in identifying savings, improving processes, and supporting business leaders in achieving both financial and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full financial control and oversight across 6 divisions within the group.
• Drive cost control and procurement optimisation, identifying areas for savings and efficiency.
• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Ensure compliance with EE requirements, internal governance, and corporate policies.
• Partner with divisional heads to support strategic decision-making and performance improvement.
• Lead and mentor divisional finance teams to enhance capability and accountability.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and strengthen financial processes.

• 5–8 years’ experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance management role.
• Proven expertise in cost control, procurement management, and operational finance.
• Strong analytical mindset with the confidence to challenge, influence and drive outcomes.
• Experience managing financials across multiple divisions or business units.
• Sound understanding of EE frameworks and compliance.
• Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA(SA) not required).
• Strategic thinker with excellent attention to detail and a proactive, results-oriented approach.
