SUMMARY:
Start asap or in January 2026! Renowned Hospitality Group based in Cape Town CBD, has an opening for a Financial Controller to join their team. Be responsible for managing complex adjustments, verify compliance in supplier processes and oversee the full bookkeeping cycle. The role involves financial accounting and management for several hotel entities and the hotel management company whilst also acting as a specialist escalation point for hotel entity reconciliations.

POSITION INFO:
What you’ll do:

ð§¾ Financial Control & Verification: Oversee all balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity in reporting.
ð¼ Supplier Compliance & Payments: Conduct weekly reviews of supplier reconciliations and authorize payment batches with confidence.
ð Management Company Accounting: Manage end-to-end accounting for the management company — from daily transactions to complex monthly reconciliations.
ð¨ Hotel Reconciliation Escalation: Be the go-to expert for resolving complex discrepancies across hotel entities, ensuring all books are ready for period closure.
ð¥ Team Leadership: Support and guide the accounting team, providing mentorship and training on advanced accounting issues and compliance matters.
âï¸ Process Improvement: Drive efficiency by streamlining accounting processes and championing technology (especially Xero).

What we’re looking for:

B.Com (Hons) in Accounting or Finance
Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles
6+ years of relevant accounting experience
Proven experience leading a finance team
Strong understanding of hospitality finance and operational accounting
