SUMMARY:
Financial Controller

POSITION INFO:

To manage the financial accounting functions with overall responsibility for maintaining an efficient accounting service operation.

Management of payroll and financial accounting operations

Financial reporting (including managing SARS requirements)
Budgeting and management of financial expenditure
Co-ordination of audits
Stakeholder liaison and service delivery (including special projects)
Team management

Self-management and performance ownership

Essential pre-requisites:

Three Year Financial Qualification e.g. B Comm / CIS / IAC / CCA)

(NQF level 5)

Professional Registration: CIS and IAC essential (If CA – SAICA)

At least 3 years’ experience in similar role

Sound accounting skills (GAAP/IFRS)

Financial analysis and interpretation skills
Relevant legislation (Tax, etc)
SARS requirements and developments (Regulations)
Payroll skills
Relevant financial software (Accpac, Peresoft, Eworkflow, Acrea)
Business and financial acumen
Audit knowledge and skills
Demonstrated practical management abilities
Ability to train and develop others
Sound business communication skills (English)
Budget management
Report-writing skills
Presentation skills
Sound MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
Express and implied ethical responsibilities (including confidentiality)
Company policies and procedures
regulations and procedures pertaining to the technical environment
