Company and Job Description
A well-established business based in Somerset West is looking for a Financial Controller to join their finance team. This opportunity is ideally suited to a qualified CA(SA) who is eager to build on their post-articles experience within a commercially focused environment.

This role offers strong exposure to the full finance function, including daily controls and deliverables, and will suit a candidate who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and being involved in the detail. Candidates with exposure to or a strong interest in IT or mining environments will be particularly well aligned. If you are looking for a role where you can deepen your commercial finance exposure, build your technical capability, and position yourself for long-term growth, this could be the ideal next move.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the full finance function, including daily and monthly financial activities
Prepare accurate financial reports and support month-end processes
Drive controls, compliance, and reporting accuracy across the finance function
Assist with analysis, reconciliations, and finance deliverables in a deadline-driven environment
Support the business with financial insight and operational finance involvement

Job Experience and Skills Required
Qualification: CA(SA) non-negotiable
Experience: 1 to 3 years’ post-articles experience
Industry exposure: Open, although experience or interest in IT or mining will be highly advantageous
Skills: Strong technical finance ability and proven experience across the full finance function
Other: Candidates must be hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a high-performance environment
