Our client is a well-established and growing company in the renewable energy and environmental sector, based in Johannesburg North. They are looking for a Financial Controller to lead and manage their finance function across multiple entities.

This role is ideal for a strong finance professional who enjoys both strategic thinking and hands-on work. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing cash flow, and supporting key business decisions.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
Oversee daily finance operations (cash, creditors, debtors, payroll, and fixed assets)
Ensure accurate financial records, reconciliations, and trial balances
Manage cash flow, treasury, and banking relationships
Prepare reports, financial analysis, and KPIs for management and the Board
Handle consolidations and inter-company transactions
Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax, and statutory requirements
Lead audits and liaise with external auditors
Identify process improvements and manage financial risks

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
Minimum 3+ years’ post-articles experience in a similar role
3–5 years’ experience managing a team
