Financial Controller (CA)

SUMMARY:
My client an International Manufacturing company is looking for an Financial Controller (CA).

POSITION INFO:

The successful individual will be accountable for ensuring that the relevant financial reports are provided timeously and accurately. The role requires someone that will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures, oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable function, as well as serve as a link for information from various sources and ensure continuous improvement of the reporting process. To be a key business partner to the operational team and working closely with the Head of Finance and Administration.
Responsibilities include:

• Accurately preparing monthly and annual financial results in terms of IFRS and management reporting
• Financial statements disclosure and preparation in terms of IFRS and company financial statements consolidation
• Management and review of primary bookkeeping functions carried out by the Finance team and preparation of monthly journals
• Management of the balance sheet controls accounts, including the review of the monthly general ledger reconciliations

• Prepare monthly management accounts and provide management with variance analysis (review current results to prior month data and actual to budget)
• Implement and maintain financial controls, monitor financial audits, review quarterly and annual tax returns as well as prepare and review reporting information packs
• Business partner to the operations team by actively influencing day to day decisions and be commercially aware, understanding and anticipating the needs of both operations and management
• Management of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team
• Management and control over assets (including fixed assets & debtors)
• Review and authorisation of Company payment requests
• Timeously prepare monthly reconciliations
• Responsible for budgets and cashflow

Experience & Qualification Requirements:
BCom Accounting / Management Accounting or Finance Management (Honours)

• Should have experience in formulating accounting policies
• Experience in managing a team (preferred)
• Experience in Engineering Services or Manufacturing industry experience (preferred)
• CA(SA) / CIMA
• Minimum of 5 years post articles
• Advanced Excel experience
• SAP experience (preferred)
• Must have knowledge of IFRS and Tax
• Business partnering experience (preferred)
