Our client, a leading South African fintech company focused on improving financial wellness through earned wage access solutions, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Coordinator to join our finance team.

As Financial Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting our finance operations and ensuring accuracy in financial processes as we expand.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong grasp of basic accounting principles and general ledger functions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• 3+ years’ experience in a finance or accounting role. (Advantageous)
• Familiarity with fintech or technology-driven environments. (Advantageous)

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Financial Manager in day-to-day financial operations.
• Assist with preparing financial reports, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Help coordinate the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Assist with compiling audit files and responding to auditor queries.
• Support the preparation of tax schedules and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather and verify financial data.
• Help implement and monitor internal controls and finance policies.
