Financial Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Finance Manager, within the Hospitality Industry in Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:
Roles and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full financial function, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Assist with oversight of payroll and ensure compliance with labour and tax regulations.
Maintain accurate financial records using Pastel Accounting and prepare accounts up to trial balance.
Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
Prepare and analyse financial reports for management decision-making.
Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial risks.
Assist with audits, tax filings, and other regulatory financial processes.
Work closely with management to provide financial insights and recommendations.
Handle financial reconciliations and ensure timely payments and invoicing.

Requirements:
5 to 8 years of experience in financial management or a senior accounting role.
At least 3 years in a managerial position overseeing financial operations, payroll, and reporting.
Relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Proven experience in financial management within the hospitality industry is advantageous.
Proficiency in Pastel Payroll and Pastel Accounting (to trial balance) is essential.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills and ability to report effectively to management.
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
