Financial Manager

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and external financial reporting for executive management. The role involves data modelling, analytics, and the development and delivery of accurate financial reports aligned with stakeholder requirements. The incumbent will also ensure full compliance with legislative and regulatory standards, driving best practice across financial operations.

POSITION INFO:

Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Month-End Financial Processing:
Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end financial processes, with a strong focus on the period after the 24th of each month.

Financial Reconciliations:
Manage and review all balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy, integrity, and alignment with internal control and audit standards.

Budgeting & Forecasting:
Drive the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets and ongoing forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and operational targets.

KPI Management & Financial Modelling:
Build and maintain performance dashboards and financial models to monitor business KPIs, support variance analysis, and guide decision-making.

Operational & Cost Analysis:
Conduct in-depth analysis of operational trends, expenditure patterns, and resource allocation to support cost optimisation and improve financial outcomes.

Business Expansion Support:
Deliver financial insights and models to support strategic initiatives and growth opportunities, including risk analysis and return-on-investment evaluations.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate closely with executive leadership and group finance teams to report on performance, manage compliance requirements, and support strategic planning.

Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a management or senior financial role.
Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, executive-level reporting, and strategic financial planning.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of financial legislation and a commitment to continuous process improvement.

Qualification:
Postgraduate qualification in Commerce, Finance, or related field,
CA(SA) with SAICA registration is advantageous.
