Financial Manager

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a seasoned Financial Manager to lead a team across a multi-entity organisation. The role involves overseeing financial planning and budgeting processes, managing a high-performing finance team, and ensuring accurate financial analysis and reporting. A key focus will be driving stakeholder engagement, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and enhancing financial efficiency across the organisation.

POSITION INFO:

Responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records in line with internal policies, the chart of accounts, and applicable financial reporting standards
Manage financials for head office and corporate services, including financial reporting and variance analysis (actual vs. budget vs. prior year)
Lead budgeting and financial planning processes across corporate support functions
Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide insights into potential financial risks
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align financial practices and support effective service delivery
Oversee financial operations for corporate functions such as HR, IT, Procurement, Facilities Management, Credit Control, and Regional Support
Ensure recovery of centralized/shared service costs and compliance with tax regulations and internal governance frameworks
Manage payroll accounting, including ERP entries, statutory submissions, third-party payments, and incentive calculations
Support treasury operations and oversee internal and external borrowings in line with financial agreements
Lead and develop finance team members while managing strategic and ad hoc financial projects

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5+ Years of post article experience in financial management
Proven experience in financial management, including budgeting, financial planning, and variance analysis
Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, and compliance with tax regulations (e.g., SARS and BURS)
Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities, including training and development of finance staff
Proficiency in ERP systems (such as SAP) and advanced MS Office skills for financial reporting and analysis
Excellent stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and communication skills to support cross-functional collaboration and strategic initiatives

Qualification:
CA(SA) advantageous
Honours in finance, accounting or related fields
