POSITION INFO:

Our client is a leading name in the food manufacturing sector, known for their commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability. They are looking for a Financial Accountant with strong analytical and commercial acumen to join their high-performing team. The role offers exposure to both financial and operational aspects of the business, making it ideal for a finance professional eager to add value and grow within the FMCG industry.

The successful candidate will be involved in financial reporting, cost and management accounting, and business partnering across departments. This is the perfect platform for someone with a BCom Degree, completed SAICA articles, and 3 years post-qualification experience in the FMCG (food manufacturing) space, to take their career to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial statements
Conduct detailed cost and variance analysis to support operational decision-making
Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting
Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and audit requirements

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education: BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification
Experience: Completed SAICA articles with minimum 3 years post-articles experience in FMCG (food manufacturing essential)
Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency and strong ERP system knowledge (SAP or Oracle advantageous)
Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills
