POSITION INFO:
Our client is a leading player in the renewable energy sector, developing and managing large-scale sustainable energy projects across South Africa. With a strong focus on innovation, environmental impact, and long-term growth, they’re shaping the country’s transition to a cleaner, greener energy landscape.
As the Financial Manager, you will take ownership of the financial management function, supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring sound financial governance across multiple renewable energy projects. You’ll collaborate closely with executive leadership, investors, and project teams to drive profitability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee full financial management, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Partner with operational and project teams to deliver strategic insights and financial guidance.
Manage funding structures, investor reporting, and financial modelling for renewable projects.
Implement process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
Lead and mentor finance team members to deliver high-quality outputs.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education: Qualified CA(SA) (essential).
Experience: Minimum 4 years post-articles experience in a financial management or commercial finance role.
Experience within the renewable energy, infrastructure, or project finance sectors is highly advantageous.
Strong technical accounting and financial analysis skills.
Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability (ERP experience beneficial).
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
A passion for sustainability and contributing to a greener future.
