POSITION INFO:
Our client is a leading player in the renewable energy sector, developing and managing large-scale sustainable energy projects across South Africa. As the Financial Manager, you will take ownership of the financial management function, supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring sound financial governance across multiple renewable energy projects. You’ll collaborate closely with executive leadership, investors, and project teams to drive profitability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee full financial management, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with operational and project teams to deliver strategic insights and financial guidance.
• Manage funding structures, investor reporting, and financial modelling for renewable projects.
• Implement process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
• Lead and mentor finance team members to deliver high-quality outputs.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Education: Qualified CA(SA) (essential).
• Experience: Minimum 4 years post-articles experience in a financial management or commercial finance role.
• Experience within the renewable energy, infrastructure, or project finance sectors is highly advantageous.
• Strong technical accounting and financial analysis skills.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability (ERP experience beneficial).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
