Financial Manager

POSITION INFO:
Our client operates across multiple countries in the travel, tourism and hospitality space, offering premium services in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. This is a globally connected organisation where finance plays a strategic role in guiding performance, profitability and growth. As the Financial Manager, you’ll own the end-to-end financial management function locally, while acting as a key finance partner to international HQ. You’ll manage reporting, compliance, budgeting, cash flow and team leadership, ensuring every financial journey lands safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual reporting in line with IFRS and Group standards
• Drive month-end close, journals, reconciliations and account accuracy
• Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with global policies
• Own the annual budget, forecasts and long-range planning
• Deliver insights to support strategic and commercial decisions
• Manage cash flow, liquidity and banking relationships
• Ensure robust controls over payments and receipts
• Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE, Corporate Tax and statutory filings
• Coordinate internal and external audits
• Provide financial analysis for pricing, promotions and operational efficiency
• Support business heads with costing, modelling and performance insights
• Oversee monthly payroll with HR and service providers
• Ensure accurate application of statutory deductions and incentives
• Lead, coach and develop the finance team
• Act as key finance liaison with international HQ on reporting, timelines and policies

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• CA(SA) or CIMA qualification
• 5+ years in a Financial Management role
• Multinational environment experience essential
• Consolidations experience for 6+ entities
• Experience in travel & tourism, hospitality or shipping highly beneficial
• Proven exposure to matrix reporting, foreign compliance and international stakeholders
• Advanced MS Excel
• Experience with Navision or SAP (beneficial) or similar ERP systems
• Strong IFRS knowledge
• Excellent financial control and analytical capability
• Strong attention to detail and organisation
• Confident communicator with senior and international stakeholders
• Proactive, solution-driven mindset
