Financial Manager

SUMMARY:
A well-established telecommunications and broadcast solutions company is seeking a Financial Manager with strong management accounting expertise. This role combines management accounting responsibilities with broader financial management duties, reporting directly to the CFO.

The Financial Manager will oversee the management accounting function, supervise staff, and perform duties typically associated with a senior finance role, ensuring financial integrity across the business.

The ideal professional is analytical, commercially aware, and experienced in leading a finance team, capable of managing financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow while providing actionable insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the management accounting function, including the preparation of management accounts, reporting, and analysis
• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support operational planning
• Manage cash flow planning and monitoring
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
• Perform cost analysis and variance reporting to provide insight into business performance
• Supervise finance staff and provide mentoring and development
• Support the CFO with strategic financial decision-making
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and internal controls
• Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, reporting, and systems

• BCom Accounting / Finance essential
• ACMA / CGMA or SAIPA qualified or in-progress
• 5+ years’ experience in management accounting or financial management
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial modelling
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, general ledger, and management reporting
• Experience in engineering, telecommunications, or technical industries advantageous
• Strong leadership skills and experience supervising finance staff
• Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to communicate financial insight effectively
