Financial Manager

Step into a senior finance leadership role within a high‑performing shared services environment supporting manufacturing and retail operations at scale. This is a rare opportunity to take over a well‑run function as the current Financial Manager steps up into an Executive role. POSITION INFO:

Lead the finance function for a shared services operation supporting manufacturing and retail entities
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and statutory requirements
Own the general ledger, balance sheet integrity, and intercompany transactions
Manage tax compliance including VAT, Income Tax, Customs Duty and statutory submissions
Oversee CAPEX budgeting, monitoring and reporting against approved spending
Drive a strong financial governance and internal control environment
Maintain risk and control matrices and an effective standard chart of accounts
Lead, mentor and develop a team of accountants and finance clerks
Set performance objectives, conduct reviews and support succession planning
Partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, HR and Commercial teams
Support cash‑flow forecasting, liquidity management and working capital optimisation
Act as primary liaison with external auditors and regulatory bodies

Skills & Experience:
Proven Financial Manager experience within a shared services environment - highly advantageous
Manufacturing or Retail background – non-negotiable
Strong leadership capability with experience managing and developing finance teams
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
Strong ERP exposure (JDE advantageous)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced operational environment
Commercially astute, solutions‑driven and comfortable operating at both detail and strategic level

Qualification:
CA(SA), CIMA OR Equivalent Qualification
