POSITION INFO:
Company and Job Description:

You’ll form part of a high-performing finance team, supporting the financial management of diverse mining operations. Your role will focus on ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and delivering insights that support both internal stakeholders and operational management. This position is ideal for a Financial Accountant who enjoys working in a structured, high-impact environment with exposure to mining operations and project finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly management accounts for mining operations
Manage month-end processes, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
Oversee cost accounting, project accounting, and inventory reporting
Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax, VAT, and mining-specific regulations
Assist with the preparation of Annual Financial Statements (AFS) and audits
Provide financial insights and reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making

Job Experience & Skills Required :

Strong financial reporting and IFRS knowledge
Experience with mining, resources, or manufacturing accounting (advantageous)
Understanding of cost accounting, project accounting, and operational finance
ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent – advantageous)
High attention to detail and strong analytical ability
Ability to manage multiple operations and meet tight deadlines
BCom Degree in Accounting (essential)
3–5 years’ experience in a Financial Accountant role
Experience within mining, resources, or industrial environments advantageous
