POSITION INFO:

A growing organisation based in Johannesburg North is seeking a Financial Manager to take ownership of the finance function and support business growth. This role is ideally suited to a CA(SA) with strong commercial acumen and exposure to the Renewable Energy or Engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
Prepare and review management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of Annual Financial Statements
Maintain compliance with IFRS, tax, and statutory requirements
Oversee VAT, income tax, and related submissions
Provide financial input on projects, costing, and capital expenditure
Partner with operational teams to support business decision-making
Manage audit processes and liaise with external auditors
Strengthen internal controls, governance, and financial risk management
Lead and develop members of the finance team

Experience

CA(SA) qualification essential
5+ years’ post-qualification experience in a finance management role
Industry exposure to Renewable Energy or Engineering preferred
Experience working in project-based or asset-heavy environments advantageous

Skills

Strong technical accounting and reporting expertise
Solid understanding of project costing and financial analysis
Commercial mindset with strategic thinking ability
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
