POSITION INFO:
Join a leading organisation in the retail sector in Gauteng, known for its strong market presence, operational excellence, and customer-focused approach. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who understands stock-driven environments and enjoys partnering with operations to drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the full finance function across multiple hardware retail store formats
Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial reports, and board packs
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes
Analyse store performance, GP margins, stock movement, and operational costs
Manage general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, and provisions
Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and internal financial controls
Oversee stock controls, inventory reporting, and shrinkage analysis
Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring performance and development
Partner with operational and store management teams to drive profitability and efficiencies
Support audits and liaise with external auditors and stakeholders

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

BCom Accounting or related qualification
CIMA, SAICA, or SAIPA qualification advantageous

Experience:

5–8 years’ experience in finance
Retail or hardware industry experience essential
Experience in stock-driven or multi-branch retail environments essential
Leadership or team management experience essential

Skills:

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong financial reporting and commercial finance knowledge
ERP and inventory system experience advantageous

Non-negotiables:

Strong hardware or retail finance experience
Strong understanding of stock, inventory, and margin management
Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
