POSITION INFO:

Our client is a well-established name in the education sector, driving growth while navigating the complexities of a dynamic operational environment. They are seeking a commercially savvy Financial Manager to take ownership of the full finance function and contribute to strategic decision-making. Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, you’ll play a key role in ensuring financial stability, compliance, and long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full financial function across the organisation
Compile and review management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
Oversee cash flow, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes
Ensure adherence to tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
Lead month-end and year-end reporting, including audits
Analyse financial performance and provide strategic insights
Enhance internal controls, processes, and efficiencies
Partner with senior management on financial planning and decision-making
Lead, mentor, and support the finance team

Job Experience and Skills Required:

BCom / CIMA / CA(SA) qualification
Minimum 5 years’ post-articles experience in a financial management role
Essential experience within the education sector
Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and operational finance
Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
Commercially astute with a hands-on, solutions-driven approach
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, people-centric environment
