POSITION INFO:
A reputable, family-run business operating within the transport industry is seeking a Finance Manager to strengthen its finance function. In this role, you will take ownership of critical financial operations, contribute to strategic decision-making, support cross-functional teams, and ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to perform effectively within a deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the accounts payable function and related processes Review, assess, and authorise financial reconciliations Partner with the revenue department to maintain accurate financial records and reporting Manage and support operational finance activities throughout the business Compile, interpret, and present financial reporting information Ensure all reporting and finance deadlines are achieved timeously Assist with month-end and year-end financial close procedures Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy Provide financial analysis and business support to senior management Maintain compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls Job Experience and Skills Required: BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance (essential) Honours Degree in Accounting (advantageous) CTA qualification (beneficial) Minimum 3 years' commercial experience post articles Previous experience within the transport or manufacturing sector is essential Advanced Excel proficiency, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs Working knowledge of Sage is required Strong analytical and commercially-minded approach Ability to prioritise workload and perform under tight deadlines High level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail Effective interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Apply now!
