Not every Financial Manager role is about sitting in meetings and approving reports.

POSITION INFO:
Our client is a major player in the IT and data industry, operating in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment where finance plays a critical role in supporting business growth and strategic decision-making. They're looking for a Financial Manager who combines strong technical ability with commercial thinking. You'll lead a finance team while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring reporting is accurate, controls are robust and deadlines are consistently met. Key Responsibilities: Lead the full financial management function Prepare and review management accounts and financial reports Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Oversee month-end, year-end, and statutory reporting Manage tax, compliance and audit processes Review reconciliations, journals and financial controls Partner with business leaders to support commercial decision-making Lead, mentor and develop the finance team Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies Stay actively involved in the day-to-day finance function, not just the sign-off Job Experience and Skills: CA(SA) essential 3 to 4 years' experience in a Financial Manager role Proven experience managing and developing a finance team Exposure to large, corporate environments Stable career history with a strong track record of tenure Strong technical accounting and financial management capability Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills Commercially astute with strong analytical ability Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-performance environment Hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
