Financial Manager

SUMMARY:
A leading fintech innovative company is looking for a Financial Manager, to drive financial strategy, governance, and operational excellence across multiple African markets. In this role you will oversee financial reporting, treasury, forecasting, audits, and regulatory compliance within a complex multi-entity environment, playing a key role in supporting growth, strengthening controls, and enabling business success.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Spearheading financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic long-range planning to support sustainable growth Designing and enhancing sophisticated financial models across revenue, cost, liquidity, funding, and unit economics frameworks Providing commercially focused financial insights and performance analysis to guide executive decision-making Assessing new market opportunities, pricing models, and revenue enhancement strategies to maximise business value Leading end-to-end finance operations, ensuring seamless accounting processes, reconciliations, and month-end reporting Delivering accurate, timely, and IFRS-compliant financial reporting across the organisation Driving group reporting, consolidations, scenario modelling, and performance management across multiple entities Championing robust financial controls, governance standards, and best-practice operational finance processes Acting as the key liaison for audits, regulatory engagements, and stakeholder management Overseeing working capital strategies, liquidity optimisation, and multi-currency treasury management Cultivating strategic relationships with banking partners, foreign exchange providers, and financial institutions across Africa Managing foreign exchange exposure, crypto-to-fiat conversion economics, and counterparty risk to safeguard financial performance Enhancing operational excellence through automation, process optimisation, and scalable finance technologies Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support expansion initiatives, regulatory projects, and product innovation Inspiring, mentoring, and developing a high-performing finance team while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement Skills & Experience: Minimum 10+ years' of finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role Proven background in fintech, payments, cryptocurrency, financial services, or cross-border settlement environments Strong understanding of African regulatory frameworks, foreign exchange markets, and multi-jurisdictional financial operations Demonstrated experience managing financial reporting, treasury, audits, tax, and compliance within regulated industries Advanced financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills, with the ability to drive data-led decision-making Strong stakeholder management capabilities, with experience partnering across legal, compliance, engineering, and executive teams Strategic, hands-on leader with high integrity, a strong governance mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced growth environment Qualification: CA(SA) CFA, MBA beneficial Post graduate diploma in accounting science or equivalent For more information connect with us on and Register your CV to create a profile and to view all our financial recruitment vacancies.
