Financial Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client is a proudly South African food company that is born, bred and infused with local styles and which has a global outlook on how the brand is managed and presented. They are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial Finance Manager to support the Management team. This exciting new role is due to their success and growth in the SA market.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant (SA).
• Minimum 5 years Managerial experience.
• Previous experience in Retail or Fast Food Sector is a strong preference.
• MS Word and Advanced Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Strong presentation skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the Finance department.
• Conduct performance reviews with Finance staff.
• Liaise with and provide informed business input to the Management team.
• Bring new ideas to the table and assist with strategic decisions.
• Collate, prepare and interpret reports, budgets, management accounts and financial statements.
• Undertake strategic analysis and assist with strategic planning.
• Undertake research into pricing, competitors and factors affecting performance.
• Control income, cash flow and expenditure.
• Ensure all SARS submissions are up to date and submitted timeously.
• Prepare forecasts and tax calculations for submission of Provisional Payment tax returns.
• Manage the audit process and provide a full audit file plus required schedules.
• Manage budgets, variance analysis and forecasts.
• Develop and manage financial systems.
• Oversee internal controls and manage internal control breakdowns or deficiencies, ensuring processes are followed or put in place and then adhered to.
• Identify and implement cost cutting and process improvements across the company/group of companies.
• Carry out risk assessments and submit recommendations.
• Produce long-term business plans.
• Liaise with third party stakeholders.
