SUMMARY:
Verulam. Opportunity exists for competent, accurate Financial Manager who is a qualified CA(SA) with at least 2 years post articles experience to join established, reputable company with a national footprint in the transport / logistics / distribution industry.

POSITION INFO:

Actively fulfil a leadership role in financial decision-making and provide relevant strategic financial input. Manage the Finance department and take accountability for the full financial reporting function. Oversee the preparation and approval of annual budgets and the periodical reviews thereof, compile profit and loss reports, calculate and sign off monthly rate adjustments, compile, and balance off month-end invoices.

Control and update company asset register on an ongoing basis. Prepare, submit, and present monthly management accounts to the management team. Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and implement and monitor controls in high-risk areas of the finance function. Oversee year-end external audit process and annual BEE verification process.

Requirements:

Must be a qualified CA(SA) with a minimum of 2 years post articles experience in a reputable Accounting concern
Experience working on Pastel Partner and SARS e-Filing
Strong analytical ability and critical strategic thinking
Previous financial experience with the transport / logistics industry
