SUMMARY:
Our client is a specialist supplier to the security industry, nationally. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the Finance department for the Group. This includes overseeing the day to day running of the department as well as the effective use and deployment of staff and financial resources. Their Head Office is in Durban and they have branches in Gauteng.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Job Requirements:

CA (SA) plus 2 years commercial exp.

Responsibilities:
This is a hands-on role and requires the following:

Prepare monthly reconciliations & management accounts.
Capture and reconcile bank statements.
Prepare and submit monthly VAT reconciliations and monthly VAT returns.
Respond to any queries received from SARS.
Oversee creditors and debtors.
Assist customers with account related queries.
Assist Bookkeeper with payroll queries; submit EMP201’s and EMP501’s.
Prepare monthly payroll reconciliations.
Liaise with External Auditors.
Calculate provisional tax payments.
Calculate and submit tax returns for certain group companies.
Prepare year end trial balance and supporting files for External Auditors.
Assist with stock counts.
Oversight of the ERP System.
