SUMMARY:
The Financial Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the finance department. This includes overseeing the day to day running of the department as well as the effective use and deployment of staff and financial resources.

POSITION INFO:
Experience/Qualifications required:

CA(SA) with 2+ years'' post articles experience

Responsibilities:

Preparation of monthly reconciliations & management accounts
Capture and reconcile bank statements
Preparation of monthly VAT reconciliations
Submission of monthly VAT returns
Respond to any queries received from SARS
Oversee creditors
Oversee debtors
Assist customers with account related queries
Assist bookkeeper with payroll queries
Assist bookkeeper with submission of EMP201’s
Assist bookkeeper with submission of EMP501’s
Preparation of monthly payroll reconciliations
Liaise with external accountants
Calculate provisional tax payments
Calculate and submit tax returns for certain group companies
Prepare year end trial balance and supporting files for external accountants
Assist directors with all ad hoc finance related tasks
Train junior staff
Assist with stock counts
Oversight and super user for ERP System
