A reputable locally started retail concern who has been in existence since 1934 is looking for a Financial Manager to join their finance team.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Financial Manager will be responsible for planning and preparing financial management documents including monthly reviews, financial plans, budgets and forecasts. The Financial Manager will be responsible for managing and controlling capital expenditure and revenue budgets, providing variance analysis, and overseeing the external audit and annual financial management process. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring financial governance, internal controls and ensuring stock levels are reviewed and assess, variances accounted for, and appropriate internal controls implemented to manage stock risks. The successful candidate will be responsible for finalizing year-end income statement, adjustments and entries and preparing the financial reports and annual audits.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

BCom Honors in Accounting
Completed SAICA articles

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

At least 3-4 years post article experience in a similar role
Experience in the retail/FMCG industries is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience dealing with a stock environment is preferred
Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
Experience dealing with FOREX
