JOB SUMMARY:
My client in Durban is seeking a Finance Manager to manage a small Debtors book, and do financial and management reports, inventory management and creditors. Syspro experience is essential.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum and Key Requirements

Proven experience as a Financial Manager
Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
Proficient user of Syspro software
Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations

Responsibilities:

Financial Management

Responsible for Petty cash, company credit card for adhoc payments and petrol card for company vehicle.
Prepare the monthly management accounts.
Month end and year end processing on Syspro.
Maintaining bank accounts by ensuring funds are available for payments.
Annual budget preparation
Monthly recons on all accounts
Assist the company accountants in the preparation and publishing of the annual financials, provisional tax and assessed tax.
Present monthly financial management reports in line with agreed agendas at MANCO
Manage receptionist and ensure creditors recons are prepared timeously by assisting with statements and queries.
Manage all general accounting activities Vat returns etc.
Manage all Financial Institution activities, i.e., ID facility etc.
Financial reporting to banks and shareholders
Ensuring all loan covenants are met
Completion of tender documents
Completion of DTI Submissions

Debtors

Vetting of SLA’s and Customer agreements.
Debtors vetting.
Sending Debtors statements and payment reminders.
Set-up debtors and creditors accounts on Syspro.
Customer recon variances

Creditors

Vetting of Supplier SLA’s and Supplier agreements.
Check monthly creditors recons
Review all legal contracts, supplier agreements
Review and negotiate best prices
Capture invoices for services rendered and foreign purchases
Understanding of foreign transactions and conversation and add on

Invoices

Allocate all expenses to the correct account codes by capturing invoices not processed through GRN system.

Inventory

Review WIP and variances
Review inventory and out of date stock
Review, and authorise purchase requisitions
Ensure FAR is up to date and complete
Review GL accounts for pricing anomalies monthly

Fixed Assets

Maintain the asset register to insurance book
Maintain tools, jigs and equipment by labelling and monitoring
Processing all insurances claim

Payroll

Submitting Annual Department of Labour Return of Earnings
Manage the payment of salaries and wages and associated activities.
Payment on all third parties on payroll
