Duties:

Review of annual financial statements for the various entities and ensure the annual financial statements are compliant with IFRS and Companies Act requirements
Annual review and compilation of budgets and forecasts
Accounting software support to users
Manage and roll out of various projects
Review monthly and annual tax submissions
Ad-hoc reviewing of creditors recons and monthly payroll
Identification and managing of risks
Managing of annual audit
Preparation for annual audit and review of audit files

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
BCom Honours in Accounting/Finance

Experience:

Completed Articles within a reputable audit firm
4-6 years post experience within a financial manager position
Sound knowledge of VAT, Income Tax and Payroll Taxes
High level of proficiency in software/accountancy packages (Preferably SAGE products)

Skills & Competencies:

Must demonstrate analytical and technical skills
Progressive, innovative and an “out-of-the-box” thinker
Sound attention to detail
Display natural leadership skills
Ability to manage themselves and their time
