JOB SUMMARY:
Financial Manager - Pietermaritzburg

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client is looking for a committed and hard-working person to join their team as a Financial Manager.

Responsibilities:

Preparation of monthly management accounts for subsidiary companies
Finalisation of all books of account including the general ledger, cash books, accounts receivable and accounts payable etc. on Pastel
Processing of journals
Maintenance of fixed asset registers & calculation of monthly depreciation charges
Preparation of detailed monthly management accounts for review by the CFO, including variance analysis
Monthly reporting will include the preparation of a separate reporting deck to third-party stakeholders
Responsibility for processes and controls in each of the subsidiaries
Prepare VAT returns/reconcile VAT SOA to the ledger for these entities and assist in tax computations
Annual budgets & cash flow planning
Preparation of annual budgets for subsidiaries
Forecast actual vs. budgeted numbers
Assist with cash flow planning
Assist in annual audit of subsidiary businesses
Develop and refine a monthly reporting pack for the group in conjunction with the CFO
BEE planning and implementation

Requirements

Bcom + SAIPA or SAICA articles at a minimum
Experience with consolidations required
Service-orientated person with good communication skills
