JOB SUMMARY:
Pinetown. Postgraduate qualification in Finance / Accounting and solid managerial experience, including corporate finance and financial analysis experience, secures Financial Manager position with well-established concern with offices throughout Africa and USA.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibility is ensuring financial effectiveness by providing leadership to the finance department and ensuring efficient processes and systems are implemented to enable effective company operations
Team management and ad hoc training - 6 direct reports
Full liaison and responsibility for relationship building with suppliers and service providers - Bank, Auditors, Legal, Consultants, Insurers
Assist in the assessment of return-on-investment calculations for maximising shareholder return
Financial analysis in such areas as forecasting, budgeting, engaging in cost management analysis, and reviewing operational performance
Manage the preparation and approval of the group’s budget
Produce accurate management accounts for all entities monthly, including 3 international companies and consolidated accounts - 10 entities
Effectively manage the cross-border transactions, which includes imports, exports and 3 international companies
Management of cross company charges and recoveries, compliance with SLA’s
Cashflow management, supported by debtors credit management
Monitoring and oversight of the group financial position
Management of the IT environment through the external service provider
Maintaining ERP system and associated processes
Serve as the Group Company Secretary and assist the board with corporate governance implementation
Ensure statutory compliance by maintaining statutory records
Assist in the delivery of the Group strategic goals and implementing financial solutions that enable such

Requirements:

Postgraduate qualification - Honours in Accounting (BCompt)
10 years’ managerial experience
Corporate finance and financial analysis experience
Experience working with ERP packages, preference given to Syspro 8
Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships
Commercial and business awareness
Excellent report-writing and communication skills
Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERPs, and other financial planning software
