Fintech is one of the fastest growing industries globally and will certainly open many future doors. The successful candidate must be able to work independently with little oversight. A huge part of the role will be to facilitate scale, with a broad scope of functional capabilities, including Finance Operations, Accounting & Audit, Financial Planning & Analysis, Regulatory Compliance and Strategy Facilitation through Projects. My client is looking for a driven and hardworking candidate who is passionate about Accounting, Financial Controls and deep-diving into the performance drivers of a business, Getting their hands dirty in the financial operations is a must.

As Financial Manager you will be responsible for:

Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including payment authorisation, management of billings and Xero management
Be the escalation point for aspects of finance operations
Own Cash management, Client Money reconciliation and Cash Reconciliation
Drive reconciliation of Annual Accounts
Oversee preparation of management accounts
Drive cost mitigation efforts
Oversee and interrogate the company’s Forecast and Budget
Be the Finance team’s point of contact for Budgetary interactions with other parts of the business
Monitor spending in line with budgets and own KPI tracking
Help build new and refine existing accounting and reporting processes to facilitate scale and insightful consolidated reporting
Be a subject matter expert on PowerBI dashboards and reporting, and how to better use PBI to create insights for the business
Assist with financial inputs on strategic projects
Assist with establishment of accounting processes in other markets, and help grow these markets

Job Experience and Skills Required:

CA(SA) with post qualified experience (non-negotiable)
Ability to design and refine accounting, reporting and reconciliation processes
Experience in scale-ups advantageous
Experience with cloud financial solutions Xero, Fathom and PowerBI advantageous
Experience in Tax
