Job & Company Description:
Be part of a multinational entity which is the main producer in Africa within its manufacturing sector. The organisation has a global footprint and trades internationally. The successful Financial Manager needs to take full responsibility of the financial function at a group level.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

CA(SA) qualification with 5 years post articles experience and with multi-currency consolidation experience.
An understanding of financial systems.
Prepare consolidated results, including actual monthly forecasts and annual budgets.
Preparation includes reconciling and reviewing the primary statements and disclosures for unusual variances against forecast and budget.
Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to with respect to journal approval and working paper support and that a monthly consolidation file is kept with relevant supporting documentation and authorisation.
Ensure the reporting timetable is adhered to, including communicating with the various subsidiaries to assist when needed and to communicate exceptions.
Assist the Group Finance System Managers with data loading if needed.

Responsibilities will include, amongst others, the following tasks (actuals, forecast and budget scenarios) which are rotated amongst the team members:

Group consolidated cash flow
Statement of equity
Segmental reporting
Group exchange rates
Maintain consolidation journals, including purchase accounting and related goodwill and intangibles and the foreign currency translation reserve
