A world-renowned Manufacturing company, with a strong focus on Southern Africa’s mining regions, is in search of a Financial Manager to join their team in Centurion. The ideal candidate should have had exposure to SQL or financial modeling before.

Job and Company Description:
My client is an international provider of equipment and services spanning over 80 countries and still growing. They are the thought leaders in the industry, serving ports, terminals, quarries, steel, paper, pulp, smelters, foundries, fertilizer and even food / FMCG businesses. The incumbent must preferably have SAICA or SAIPA articles and willing to manage two Finance Clerks which includes performance assessments, setting goals and training where required.

As the Financial Manager you will be responsible for:

Management of 2 Finance Clerks which includes performance assessments, setting goals and training where required.
Overseeing and review of the complete local and foreign debtors and creditors function.
Maintenance of the fixed asset register.
Monthly management accounts preparation which includes proper record keeping for work done to ensure accuracy.
All balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensure correct allocation and classification of transactions.
Assist GM with annual company budgets.
Inter-system reconciliation of financial information.
Management of inter-company accounts.
Preparation and calculations of monthly sales rep commission payments.
Management of inter-company loan accounts.
Accounting for and tracking accruals.
Preparation of quarterly royalty calculations for the GM.
Preparation and maintenance of cash flow forecasts.
Recommend and implement improvements to financials controls in the company.
Loading of bank foreign payments as well as the receipt of foreign bank payments on the online FNB platform.
Approving local bank payments under R 30 000.
Monthly submission and calculation of VAT and employee related taxes.
Basic analysis and report preparation of financial information such as customer, expenses etc.
Preparation for the annual financial audit.
Advisory on tax affairs.
Payroll reconciliation.
Preparation of financial reports as required by the GM.
Insurance claims.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Completed BCom Degree
SAIPA or SAICA articles advantageous
Honours in Management Accounting advantageous
Accounting in several different currencies is non-negotiable
3 years + in the Wholesale industry advantageous
Excel advanced
Experience/exposure to SQL or financial modelling advantageous
