About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Financial Manager to take responsibility for the overall financial management and reporting function of the organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls, sound cash-flow management and compliance with applicable accounting, tax and statutory requirements.

POSITION INFO:
What you'll be doing Manage and oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation. Ensure accurate and timely processing and recording of financial transactions. Review general ledger accounts, journals, reconciliations and financial records. Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial dashboards and reports for decision-making. Monitor financial performance, profitability, income and expenditure. Analyze actual performance against budgets and previous periods. Coordinate the annual budgeting process and prepare rolling forecasts and financial projections. Assist management with financial modelling and scenario planning. Monitor daily and monthly cash flow, working capital, debtors and creditors. Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. Monitor aged debtors, credit limits and implement appropriate collection actions. Ensure supplier invoices, reconciliations and payments are accurately processed and appropriately authorised. Work closely with HR and Payroll to review payroll accounting, reconciliations, statutory deductions, and monitor direct labour costs against budgets. Oversee relevant tax and statutory requirements, including VAT, PAYE and UIF. Liaise with SARS, external auditors, banks and financial advisors where required. Develop, implement and maintain effective internal financial controls and delegation of authority. Identify financial risks, control weaknesses and areas requiring corrective action. Coordinate internal and external audit requirements, prepare audit schedules, and ensure audit findings are resolved. Drive finance process improvements, workflow automation, and ensure data integrity across accounting\/ERP systems. Analyze contract, client, branch and operational profitability. Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and improved financial performance. Provide commercial and financial support to management, business units and operational teams. Lead, manage and develop the finance team, setting performance objectives and monitoring workload. Ensure finance processes, reporting and deadlines are consistently maintained. What you'll need Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management or a related field - essential. Relevant accounting qualification or professional designation will be advantageous. CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, SAIPA, SAICA or equivalent professional qualification will be advantageous. Min 5 - 8+ years' relevant financial management experience. Previous experience as a Financial Manager, Finance Manager or in a similar senior finance position. Proven experience managing a finance team. Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience. Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning and cash-flow management. Experience with debtors, creditors and financial reconciliations. Experience in dealing with auditors, SARS and statutory requirements. Experience within a multi-site, multi-entity or group environment will be advantageous. Experience within services, facilities management, security, cleaning, hospitality or another labor-intensive environment will be advantageous. Strong knowledge of financial controls, cost accounting, governance and statutory compliance. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, financial modelling capability, and experience with accounting\/ERP systems. Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. High level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure, challenge information constructively, and meet strict deadlines. What is in it for you?
