Financial Manager (Mining), Kathu, Northern Cape

POSITION INFO:

Our client a leader in the field of mining is seeking a professional and qualified Financial Manager for their business operation in Kathu.

 

Minimum requirements:

• B.Degree / B.Tech Degree ( NQF level7) in Accounting / Management Accounting (Essential)
• B Honours Degree (NQF level 8) in Accounting  / Management Accounting (Recommended)
• Certificate in Mining Tax / Company Tax (Recommended)
• CA (SA) Qualification (Recommended)
• Minimum of eight (8) years Operational Financial Accounting / Management Accounting experience (Essential)
• Minimum of two (2) years Supervisory / People management experience (Essential)
• (Total of ten (10) years’ experience required, of which some can run concurrent)
• A valid code B/EB driver’s licence
• Medically fit for duty to meet medical fitness requirements and standards

 

 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• To manage and control the Financial Accounting Service function ensuring financial reporting in line with accounting standards (IFRS), policies and procedures as well as managing the tax compliance for the operation, which includes but not limited to:

-        Financial Accounting

-        Accounts payable

-        Tax Accounting services

-        Financial Control

-        Financial reporting and planning

-        Statutory compliance

-        Asset management

-        System management

-        Customer Relationships

-        Change Management

-        People management and development

-        SHERQ adherence and compliance in own area of work

-        Work ethics
