Site Construction Supervisor (Electrical & Instrumentation)

SUMMARY:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Site Construction Supervisor to support the successful delivery of Electrical and Instrumentation EPCM projects. This role is site-based and focuses on supervising, coordinating, and controlling on-site construction activities in close collaboration with the Project Manager and multi-disciplinary project teams. The position is well suited to a hands-on supervisor with strong mining and industrial construction exposure.

POSITION INFO:

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide full-time on-site Electrical and Instrumentation construction supervision for EPCM projects
• Supervise all Electrical and Instrumentation construction and installation activities executed on site
• Verify that all installations are completed in accordance with approved designs, standards, and specifications
• Facilitate quality control and quality assurance throughout the full project life cycle, including manufacturing, construction, testing, and commissioning
• Conduct punching of Electrical and Instrumentation installations
• Ensure all IFC drawings are correctly red-lined and updated
• Coordinate access and sequencing of Electrical and Instrumentation trades in line with the project schedule
• Ensure compliance with client standards, installation specifications, and construction requirements
• Apply and enforce client testing and commissioning procedures across all projects
• Support safe working practices and adherence to site safety requirements

Qualifications

• National Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering
• Strong industrial experience within a mining environment, both surface and underground
• Proven experience supervising Electrical and Instrumentation construction activities
• Construction management experience on large-scale industrial projects
• Experience managing projects with a value exceeding R5 million
• Knowledge of risk assessments and construction task analysis processes
• Understanding of mining health and safety legislation
• Medical fitness for duty in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act
