Structural Engineer

SUMMARY:
We are urgently seeking an experienced Structural/Civil Engineer for a short-term assignment within the mining sector. This opportunity is based on-site at a mine in Hotazel, Northern Cape, and offers exposure to a dynamic operational environment.

The initial contract period is three months, with a possibility of extension based on client requirements and performance.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in structural engineering within a mining environment
• Strong knowledge of structural design, analysis, and site execution
• Experience working on mining infrastructure such as foundations, steel structures, and related facilities

• Perform structural design and analysis for mining-related infrastructure
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards
• Review drawings and technical documentation
• Provide technical support to construction and project teams
• Identify and resolve structural issues on-site
• Ensure all work aligns with applicable industry standards and regulations
